Abstract:
To provide a device and a method of preheating boiler fuel.SOLUTION: Upon heating boiler fuel by exchanging heat between boiler combustion exhaust containing SOx, i.e., a high temperature fluid and boiler fuel, i.e., a low temperature fluid via a counter current heat exchanger, a heat exchanging chamber 2 constituting a high temperature fluid channel is converted to a heat exchange chamber divided into two independent regions consisting of a high temperature region 21 and a low temperature region 22. A high temperature fluid is supplied to the upstream side of the divided high temperature region, and a branch pipe 3 extracting a portion of a high temperature fluid is attached to a specified position on the wall face of the high temperature region to let a portion of the extracted high temperature fluid flow into the upstream side of the low temperature region. Thereby, the temperature of the boiler combustion exhaust containing Sox (high temperature fluid) can stably be made higher than the acid dew point of the high temperature fluid at the outlet side of the low temperature region as well, and the dew condensation of sulfuric acid onto the surface of heat transfer tubes for heat exchange is prevented to prevent the corrosion of the heat transfer tubes for heat exchange and deterioration of thermal efficiency.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
