A boiler 20 constituting a group of boilers 2 composed of a plurality of boilers 20 includes a boiler body 21 in which supplied supply water W1 is stored as boiler water W2, a water supply section 6 for supplying the supply water to the boiler body 21, a burner 27 heating the inside of the boiler body 21 by combustion, a water level rise detecting means 31 detecting a rise of a water level of the boiler water W2 stored in the boiler body 21, and a combustion control means 107 for controlling the burner 27 to heat the inside of the boiler body 21 when the rise of the water level of the boiler water W2 stored inside of the boiler body 21 is detected by the water level rise detecting means 31 in a state that the supply of supply water to the boiler body 21 by the water supply section 6 is stopped.
