Abstract:

To provide a boiler which can improve a heat recovery rate from combustion gas and can be made compact.

A boiler includes an air heater 50 for performing heat exchange between combustion air circulating in an air supply duct 60 and combustion gas circulating in an exhaust cylinder 80. The exhaust cylinder 80 includes a downward exhaust passage part 83 extended in a vertical direction, the air supply duct 60 includes a second upward air supply passage part 63 extended upward from a connection side with an air blower 30 and arranged in parallel with the downward exhaust passage part 83, and an air heater 50 is arranged in a position on which the downward exhaust passage part 83 and the second upward air supply passage part 63 are located.
