Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately detect boiling by providing a water level sensor for detecting the change of water level, and a boiling detection means for detecting boiling on the basis of information from the water level sensor.
CONSTITUTION: When a heater 12 is turned on and the temperature of liquid (water) in a vessel 11 nears high level, the movement of the liquid becomes active. The movement of a float constituting a water level sensor 13 also becomes active. A boiling detecting means (microcomputer) 14 stores the fluctuation range data of the liquid level corresponding to boiling state. Also, a water level fluctuation signal from the sensor 13 is always transmitted to a detection means 14, and this means 14 collates the signal from the sensor 13 with retained data. Furthermore, the means 14 judges that the point of agreement between the signal and data shows the occurrence of boiling. The means 14, upon detecting the boiling, drives a boiling display means 15 and displays the boiling for a user via a sound and light (LED). In addition, the means 14 makes judgement as to whether the signal from the sensor 13 is in steady state or not, thereby discriminating a signal from a noise. The noise is ignored to prevent the occurrence of malfunction.
