To provide a boiling refrigerant type cooling device allowing use of a seal member on a joining portion between a cooling container and a heat exchanger.
The boiling refrigerant type cooling device includes the cooling container 11 storing a liquid refrigerant R receiving heat of a heating element 13, and the heat exchanger 20 fixed to the cooling container 11. The cooling container 11 includes a refrigerant storage unit 14 where the liquid refrigerant R is stored, and a refrigerant condensing unit 15 where refrigerant steam by evaporation of the liquid refrigerant R is condensed. An opening 12 communicating the inside with the outside of the refrigerant condensing unit 15 is formed in the refrigerant condensing unit 15. The heat exchanger 20 includes a heat absorbing unit inserted into the opening 12 and positioned in the refrigerant condensing unit 15, a heat dissipation unit positioned on the outside of the cooling container 11 and having an outer peripheral surface which is more increased in diameter than an outer peripheral surface of the heat absorbing unit, and a seating surface coupling together the outer peripheral surface of the heat absorbing unit and the outer peripheral surface of the heat dissipation unit over the surrounding of the opening 12 and facing an outer surface of the cooling container 11. The seal member 38 is interposed between the outer surface of the cooling container 11 and the seating surface.
