PURPOSE: To obtain a high bonding strength and to enable the bonding method of a low bonding cost, by performing a heat treatment after fitting a bonding member of a white pig iron into the gap of two parts bonded, thereby fitting and bonding it by the volume expansion of the bonding member.
CONSTITUTION: A clutch cone 2 is inserted to the cylindrical part 1a of a mission gear 1. Now, a proper annular gap 3 is formed between the outer peripheral face of the cylindrical part 1a of the gear 1 and inner peripheral face of the cone 2. The annular bonding member 4 fitted into the gap 3 is then formed by a white pig iron containing Fe3C and a divided mission gear 5 is composed by fitting the member 4 into the gap 3. A cementation treatment, cementation nitride treatment or refining treatment is then performed on the gear 5. At this time, Fe3C in the bonding member 4 composed of a white pig iron is subjected to a graphitizing decomposition (Fe3C→Fe + C), and a volume expansion is caused on the bonding member 4. The gear 1 and cone 2 are strongly bonded by the volume expansion of the bonding member 4 like this via the bonding member 4.
