Abstract:

To reduce the vibration and impact of a tennis racket made of a fiber reinforced plastic in use and to render the racket lightweight.

A vibration damper 14 having a viscoelastic material 16 made of a thermoplastic elastomer and a mass-increasing material 15 is fixed to a racket frame 11 made of a fiber reinforced plastic. In fixing the vibration damper 14 made of a thermoplastic elastomer to the racket frame 11, the viscoelastic material 16 which is a part of the vibration damper 14 is firmly bonded to the racket frame 11 made of the fiber reinforced plastic with a molten ionomer resin.
