Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a process for bonding a porous material such as polyurethane foam, producible with a simple production facility compared with conventional process and achieving high bonding strength by the application of a small amount of adhesive.
CONSTITUTION: A porous adherend is bonded to a porous or nonporous adherend by coating the surface of the adherend with a prepolymer having isocyanate group on the terminal and containing 1-10wt.% of free isocyanate group, contacting the prepolymer with steam, contacting both adherends with each other and bonding with pressure.
