Abstract:
To provide such a process for bonding waterproof sheets made of a polyolefin resin or an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer as giving excellent workability and adhesion as well as highly reliable waterproofness.
A bonding process for joining parts between waterproof sheets made of a polyolefin resin or an olefinic thermoplastic elastomer, comprises applying, as a primer, a solution of 3-15% by solid content of either a brominated compound of isobutylene p-methylstyrene copolymer or a blend of the brominated compound and 10-100 pts.wt. of a natural or synthetic rubber, and bonding each other via a naturally vulcanizable adhesive tape having, as the main component, a butyl rubber with self-adhering property at an ordinary temperature.
