To provide a book cover bag which resolves a problem that when a conventional book cover with a gripping part for carrying a book carries a heavy book, the book cover has trouble in durability for a load because weight of the book concentrates on a back cover part and the gripping part of the cover and a joint part of the cover and also durable life is short and a rivet is removed to be crushed due to the load at a joint part of the gripping part because the cover is jointed by an adhesive and a metallic part such as the rivet.

The bag is structured integrally with a book cover body and the gripping part, and the gripping part is directly joined so as to surround the whole book cover. Therefore, because the load due to the weight of the book is distributed on the whole cover, the bag has a function for reinforcing durability of the cover body, and also is made of a cloth, as a material, which is light, easy to work, cheap, easily available, possible to be designed variously, water repellent, quick to dry, and washable even in dirt.
