This book cover 2 covers a cover 11 of a book 1, a backbone 12, and a back cover 13 to protect the book 1. The book cover 2 includes a book cover body 20 having a long side and a short side, which constitute a rectangle, a fold-back part 21, which is provided in a projected form on the short side of the book cover body 20 and is folded back to the inner side of either the cover 11 or the back cover 13, an insert part 22, which is provided opposite to the fold-back part 21 with the book cover body 20 being sandwiched therebetween and into which either the cover 11 or the back cover 13 is inserted, a bookmark 23, which is a part formed by notching a part of the insert part 22, is projected from the short side 2b of the book cover body 20 and is turned in the inside of the book, and a belt part 24, which is extended from the long side of the book cover body 20 and sandwiches the insert part 22 so as to face the book cover body 2.
