Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a book jacket with opened book holding means, which is portable and has a favorable appearance.SOLUTION: A book jacket with an opened book holding function is provided, in which a first cover jacket and a second cover jacket that cover a front cover and a back cover of a book are joined by interposing therebetween a strip-shaped spring member having a linear shape with an arc-shaped cross section and a property of curling when bent while making the protruded side of the cross section face the inside. In order to solve the problem, the book jacket is configured as follows: a plurality of the spring members are fixed to the first cover jacket while making the protruded side of the cross section face the inside, and are fitted to the second cover jacket in a movable manner; the spring members are provided with horizontal rods; the second cover jacket includes a spacer part having slits for guiding the spring members, two base plates bonded to upper and lower parts of the spacer part, and stopper means provided between the spring members, for preventing the spring members from falling; and the spring members are formed movable to match the width of a spine of the book.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
