Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a book original fixing device with small-size and high reliability capable of surely fixing the book original on an original platen.
CONSTITUTION: The device is provided with two original platen 1 placed along the scanning plane of the scanning unit 200 on both side of the scanning plane, and the original cover plate 14 pivotally supported with a hinge severally on the rear side of each original platen 1 so as to cover each original platen 1 and to enable moving in the scanning direction of the scanning unit 200, where the front cover and the back cover of the spread book original is held there between and the spread book original is fixed on each original platen 1.
