Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the size of a page turn-over read unit small and to attain high speed scanning by reflecting a reflecting light from an exposed original face between plural mirrors repetitively, collecting the reflected lights and applying photoelectric conversion to the resulting light.
CONSTITUTION: A reduction projection type small sized optical unit is formed with two mirrors 403-405 or over so as to allow the reflected light to be reflected repetitively for plural number of times between original reflection optical paths and with a lens 406 and a CCD 407 or the like to implement read scanning of a spread book original. Moreover, a page container section 501 is formed integrally with the page turn-over read unit 1 to surround the read unit. Furthermore, part of the read optical path of the read unit is in crossing with page carrier paths 502, 503 of the page container section 501 through a slit 503a. The reduced read sensor is employed for a book original read means 400, the reflected light is reflected repetitively between the mirrors 403-405 for plural number of times to form the small sized optical system thereby improving the read accuracy and the read speed.
