Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the book original reader in which number of members used for close contact scanning onto an original face of a book original is reduced, the size of the reader is made small at a low cost and reading of a file margin and high speed scanning are attained.
CONSTITUTION: The picture scanning optical system is formed with the reduction projection type optical system comprising a 1st scanner 400A in which a read unit 400B having a 1st mirror 403 reflecting a reflected light of an original face exposed by a fluorescent light 401 in a direction in parallel with the original face is mounted freely in the vertical movement direction, comprising a 2nd scanner 400B having 2nd and 3rd mirrors 404, 405 reflecting a reflected light from the 1st mirror in a direction opposite to the direction as above, comprising a through-lens 406 and a CCD 407, and the 2nd scanner is scanned at a speed being a half of that of the 1st scanner through wires 19, 23, and pulleys 17, 18, 20, 21, 22.
