To provide a tool for pressing pages of a book which equilibrates pressing forces of a cylindrical frame body and a support plate and a force which bites in a book of a folding piece, can evenly press the right and left pages of an open stitched seam even when the book is thick, and can be easily attached and detached.

At a lower part of a cylindrical frame body 1, locking holes 1a are arranged oppositely to an opening section 4 and a bottom end section. Lower leg sections 2a of a linear spring 2 are inserted into the locking holes 1a so as to vertically lock and a top end is fixed to the inside of the frame body 1, the tips of the leg sections 2 are pointed so as to form folded pieces 2b which are folded outwardly. Support plates 3 for pressing pages are mounted at right and left sides of the cylindrical frame body 1 symmetrically. Further, a cap 5 for a writing tool is fixed to the top end of the cylindrical frame body 1.
