To provide a book-rest which can be used as a book-rest by fixing a freely variable angle-setting device on a board and to provide the angle setting device used for the book-rest.

A rod-shaped guide shaft is fixed on a rectangular board with a space in parallel with the board. A pole-shaped support to stand the board is fixed turnably on a slider which can slide along the guide shaft. In this way, an angle-setting device is obtained. A book-rest is obtained by fixing this angle-setting device on the board. This book-rest enables an increase in number of items with a book-rest and a decrease in cost.
