Abstract:

To provide a book stand which reliably fix the pages of a book of various kinds of sides, whose height and angle in the case of reading the book can be varied freely and by which the book can be read even in the state of lying facing upward.

The book stand is provided with a book placing plate 1 in the state of a plate for placing a book 9, and a book stopping bar 13 projecting at the lower end edge of the book placing plate 1 for receiving the book 9. The vicinity of the lower part of the book placing plate 1 is cut off from both sides toward the center and a binder 40 moving to the right and left is fitted in it to stop a small book 9 like a memo book to a large book 9 like the size B4. Further, the book 9 can be moved vertically by using a wire 6. The angle of the book 9 can be varied by fixing a bolt at a hole 17 with holes 29 and 18 as origins to match a ring-formed long hole 12 and holding the top of the book placing plate 1 for moving it forward and backward. The book 9 can be read by fitting four binders 40 in a book placing plate 37 for reading in the state of lying facing up to fix the book 9 facing down so as to move the book placing plate 37 to the east, west, south, and north.
