To solve the two main problems, i.e., what type of guides are mounted on which places concerning the guides for vertically moving a book reception base on a guide rail, and what kind of object is used and how the object is used, as a stopper for securing the position of a book reception base, concerning the development of a handleable and inexpensive easel shape book stand capable of freely selecting the height and inclination angle of a book to read.
First, the book reception base has a structure with a rear board where enclosure shape guides are vertically attached to two places. In this case, the lower guide is required to fully approach a base bottom part to a desk surface, so that the position has to be at a necessarily and sufficiently high place so as not to be abutted onto a frame. Secondly, a method for puncturing holes in the guide rail, inserting a latch rod to the holes, and securing inserting positions is adopted as a reception base positioning method, so that the stopper for positioning the reception base is attached to the center bottom part of the reception base. The point is to adopt a new design thin latch as the stopper. Consequently, both the latch and the desk are protected by individually arranging each protector to the right and left depth parts of the reception base bottom part, so as to allow the reception base position to sufficiently approach the desk surface and also not to allow the latch to directly contact the desk surface.
