To solve the problem that the existing book stand or book table which allows user to read books lying on the back strains the user's eyes is not suitable for reading for a long time because the light of a lamp reflects diffusely on the transparent board on which the book is placed face down with the surrounding images reflected on the board like on a mirror, and that user has to lift up the book from the transparent board when turning the pages and to place it back on the board again after turning the page.

The problems described above are solved by placing an upper or lower part the book to be read on the stand of the present invention. The present invention also allows user to write down on memo pad or diary lying on the back. The size of the stand where a book is placed can be adjusted to allow user to use it for other purposes than the book stand, such as a stand for placing a 1 seg TV, cellular phone, DVD player and other things, and the stand provides a wide range of use.
