Abstract:
To provide a bookbinding method and a bookbinding device capable of attaching a bookmark chord to the rear stitched part of a cover sheet when saddle stitched sheets coated with an adhesive agent on the rear end surface are bonded to the rear stitched part of the cover sheet.
The rear end surface of the saddle stitched sheets arranged and stacked in a bundle shape is coated with the adhesive agent. After the sheet bundle is bonded to the rear stitched part of the cover sheet, the cover sheet is folded along the rear stitched part for bookbinding. The bookmark chord is simultaneously attached by bonding the saddle stitched sheets with the bookmark chord overlapped with the rear stitched part of the cover sheet.
