Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device capable of improving bonding strength of a sheet bundle without roughening nor notching.SOLUTION: A bookbinding device 3 applies an adhesive G to a back end part PSa of a sheet bundle PS formed by stacking a plurality of text paper sheets P1 so as to form a booklet B having the sheet bundle PS and a cover sheet P2 bonded together. The bookbinding device comprises: a retaining part 44 which retains the sheet bundle PS therein at a position HP which is a predetermined distance L away from the back end part PSa of the sheet bundle PS toward an end part PSb of the sheet bundle PS; an adhesive application part 45 which applies an adhesive G to the back end part PSa of the sheet bundle PS held by the retaining part 44 while a coating roller 82 where the adhesive G sticks is rotated; an acquisition part 50a which acquires a thickness T of the text paper sheet P1; and a retention control part 50b which controls the predetermined distance L according to the thickness T of the text paper sheet P1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
