PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bookbinding device which can increase an adhesive strength of a booklet while suppressing decrease in productivity of the booklet.SOLUTION: A bookbinding device 1, which applies an adhesive G onto a back end part PSa of a sheet bundle PS, in which text papers Pa are bundled, and produces a booklet B, comprises plural conveyance rollers which transports the text sheet P1 along a transportation direction TD, and a transportation control part 242 which controls rotations of plural conveyance rollers. The plural conveyance rollers includes a first conveyance roller 110, and a second conveyance roller 120 which is positioned on the transportation direction TD downstream side with respect to the first conveyance roller 110. The second conveyance roller 120 transports the text sheet P1 while contacting a main body part Pb of the text sheet P1 at a prescribed timing such that an upstream end part Pa of the text sheet P1, which constitutes the back end part PSa of the sheet bundle PS,. contacts the first conveyance roller 110. The transportation control part 242 controls rotation of the first conveyance roller 110 at a prescribed timing by any one of deceleration control, stop control and inversion control.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
