To position a conveyed booklet without misalignment or wrinkles, and to press and fix the booklet without misalignment.
A device includes: first and second conveyance belts that convey the booklet which is a folded bundle of sheets and of which a clearance therebetween is variable; a positioning stopper on which an edge of the booklet conveyed by the first and second conveyance belts abuts to position the booklet; and a pressing guide plate that presses the positioned booklet onto the first conveyance belt to press and fix it. The device receives booklet information (S1), and selects (S2) whether the booklet is pressed and fixed by a conveyance guide surface of the second conveyance belt (S3) or is pressed and fixed by a pressing guide surface of the pressing guide plate (S4), on the basis of the booklet information.
