To provide booklet medium handling equipment or the like which makes an operation of closing a booklet medium stable.
In the booklet medium handling equipment 10, a cover 13b is disposed on the installation direction side of a conveying roller 11b, and the booklet medium 13 opened with the exterior side directed toward a conveyance path 12 side is disposed on the conveyance path 12. The rotation of conveying rollers 11a and 11b is controlled in this state, all of inside paper sheets 13c are thrown up above the conveying rollers 11a and 11b, and the conveying roller 11a is stopped as it is while being pressed against the cover (back cover 13a in Fig.1). Friction is given to the cover 13b in the direction of a seam 13d by rotating the conveying roller 11b, so that the cover 13b is thrown up above the conveying roller 11b, and friction is given to the cover in the direction of the seam 13d by rotating the conveying roller 11a, so that the booklet medium 13 is conveyed in the direction of the conveying roller 11b with the exterior side of the seam 13d ahead. By rotating the conveying roller 11b in the same direction as the conveying roller 11a, friction is given to the exterior side of the cover 13b by the conveying roller 11b, and the booklet medium 13 is conveyed by the conveying roller 11b.
