Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a page turning device capable of performing stable page turning operation which is hardly affected by circumferential environment, paper quality conditions of a booklet, etc., according to the present invention for the purpose of stable page turning operation since a device which turns pages of a booklet is apt to have problems such that a target page cannot be turned and a page which need not be turned is turned, and so on.SOLUTION: A page turning device has booklet conveying means 3 of conveying a booklet 4 and is provided with air flow generating means of generating a prescribed flow velocity of an air layer on a surface where a page 4P of the booklet is turned at a part of a conveyance path 31L of the booklet conveying means. An air flow is generated on a turning surface side of the booklet which is conveyed so as to let the page to be turned slightly float. The page to be turned and the unturned page under it are securely separated by utilizing the flotation of the page to be turned so as to carry out stable page turning operation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
