Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a booklet printer which can perform various booklet printing operations without modifying the print application.
SOLUTION: The booklet printer comprises a booklet generating section 1a for generating the overlay data 6 of a booklet based on information inputted from a specified input unit 18, and booklet print section 1b for generating print booklet data 14 by superposing the overlay data 6 generated at the booklet generating section 1a on print data 11. The booklet generating section 1a comprises a booklet design section 2 for generating a booklet layout, a section 3 for generating the edition information of data being printed in a booklet, and a section 4 for generating an operational condition formula performing various operations depending on the print data.
