To provide a booklet processing device which reduces a problem causing the outermost paper of a booklet from sagging when the booklet abutting against an abutting member is fixed by being press-pushed from the vertical direction, and to provide an image forming apparatus.
The booklet processing device has carrying means 82 and 88 for carrying the booklet in such a manner that the back side of the booklet PS is set in a traveling direction and making the booklet abut against the abutting member 91, pressing and fixing means 82 and 88 for pressing and fixing the booklet PS abutting against the abutting member 91, a press-fastening member 100 which press-fastens a central part of an edge of the booklet PS abutting against the butt member 91, and urging means 82 and 88 for adding an urging force which is exerted in a direction opposite to a traveling direction to the outermost paper of the booklet PS press-fastened by the press-fastening member 100 when the booklet PS is press-fixed by the pressing and fixing means 82 and 88.
