A booklet processor includes an accumulating chamber 19 for accumulating the booklets 3 whose pages are closed in a folding section 15 and which are discharged from a lower horizontal conveying passage 11, the elevator 20 liftably arranged in the accumulating chamber 19 lifts while receiving the booklets 3 discharged from the lower horizontal conveying passage 11, an accumulating flapper 21 for receiving and supporting the booklets 3 raised with the elevation of the elevator 20, and a hook lever 24 arranged in the elevator 20, holding the booklets 3 passed on the elevator 20 such that the booklets are not opened, and releasing the holding of the booklets 3 immediately before passing the booklets 3 to the accumulating flapper 21 by the elevation of the elevator 20.
