To provide a bookmark which can double the enjoyment in reading a book and also provides a reader with enjoyment in possessing a book or in storing a book on a bookshelf.

The bookmark is provided with a projecting part with its head part projecting sideways and the lower edge of the projecting part is hooked on the top part of the throat of the book. The projecting part is constituted as a displaying part such as a photograph or an illustration or the like displaying animals or a head part of animals, plants, buildings, vehicles or the like.
