To provide a bookshelf for a learner's desk where a counter shelf board is supported strongly and which looks good when a counter is removed.

The bookshelf 1 for a learner's desk is provided with: a lower guide shelf 15 projecting by a first dimension L1 from the front surface of a lower back board 14; an upper guide shelf 16 projecting by a second dimension L2 shorter than the first dimension L1 from the front surface of a lower back board 14 above the lower guide shelf 15; and the counter 18 to be mounted detachably between them. The counter 18 comprises: a counter shelf board 19 projecting to the front of the upper guide shelf 16 when mounting; and a pair of right and left counter side boards 20 fitted to the lower surface of the counter shelf board 19 vertically to the counter shelf board 19. The rear side of the upper edge of each counter side board 20 projects by the second dimension L2 horizontally backward from the rear end of the counter shelf board 19, and the corner of the rear end of the lower edge of each counter side board 20 is rounded to be a round edge.
