To provide a bookstand which has a bookrack laid on a base with almost same width as a desk to enable lighting equipment to be used without being obstruction on the desk top board, the bookrack can be used separate from the desk.

This bookstand is used on a desk X and has a base 1 without a side board and a back board on the upper part and a bookrack whose position can be easily changed and detachably assembled on the base 1. Partition boards 5 whose position can be easily changed and detachably assembled on the base 1. One or a plurality of bolt holes or long grooves 3 are equipped on the base 1 to enable the base and the bookrack to be fixed via fixing pieces 4 from the bottom part on the base.
