To provide a bookmark of a U-shaped form which allows reading of only a few lines of types of a textbook etc. by a student by concealing both sides of the line, in contrast with the conventional way of reading the text book by concealing the types of one side with the help of a sliding pad.

The bookmark to be inserted into a book is nothing but a mere bookmark when the book is closed, but is developed into a U-shaped form, when the book is opened, in the way that the bookmark is pendulous from above in the case of the book of vertical lines, and the bookmark is inserted laterally in the case of the book of lateral lines. In addition, the bookmark is of such a design that only the types of 5 to 10 lines in the U-shaped frame are visible by concealing the preceding/following lines, and thus, the reader can proceed with concentrated reading with the procedure to slide the frame by a finger.
