Abstract:
In the present invention, when acceleration is required, a target pressure ratio (tPR) to be reached is set on the basis of a target torque. For the duration that the real pressure ratio (rPR) deviates from the target pressure ratio (tPR), feedback control causes a target wastegate stroke (tWGS) to approach full closure, and thereby the responsiveness of a supercharging pressure is increased. If the intake air quantity (Qa) and the engine rotation speed (NE) exceed criteria for restriction conditions before the target pressure ratio is reached, the target wastegate stroke (tWGS) is restricted such that the degree of opening increases. Consequently, the turbine rotation speed (NT) does not exceed a permitted rotation speed. If the real pressure ratio (rPR) comes close to the target pressure ratio (tPR), the degree of opening is controlled in accordance with the static target wastegate stroke (tWGS) corresponding to the target pressure ratio (tPR).
