To provide a boosting method and system which suppresses energy lost in connection with boosting and neither discharge compressed air in vain nor cause boosting performance deterioration.
A boosting system 100, which boosts the compressed air discharged from an air compressor (not shown). The compressed air discharged from the air compressor (not shown) heats the compressed air accumulated in a first tank 101 in such a condition that a solenoid valve 108, arranged in a pipe arrangement connecting the first tank 101 temporarily accumulating the air and a second tank 102 is closed, the solenoid valve 108 is opened after an internal pressure of the first tank 101 is boosted, an internal pressure of the second tank 102 is boosted by propagating the internal pressure of the first tank 101 to the second tank 102, and the compressed air accumulated in the second tank 102 is boosted resultantly.
