Abstract:
To provide a caulking type boot band capable of stably giving predetermined tightening force to a cylindrical boot made of an elastic material over a long period.SOLUTION: A boot band 30 comprises a band part 31 and a side view Ω-shaped ear part 34 formed on the band part 31, and tightens a cylindrical part of a boot by caulking the ear part 34 in a direction in which the circumferential length of an annular body formed by rolling the band part 31 along a longitudinal direction decreases. When the band part 31 is rolled along the longitudinal direction, a band-shaped housing groove 37 defined on the back surface side of a bulged part 35 formed by cutting and raising a part of the band part 31 in the longitudinal direction toward a front surface 31a side of the band part 31, houses a protrusion part 36 formed at one end of the band part 31 in the longitudinal direction. The protrusion part 36 has a tapering part 38 whose plate thickness gradually decreases toward a tip part 36a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
