Abstract:
To provide a boot capable of reducing an insertion load in a state of securing surface pressure from a seal lip.SOLUTION: A boot comprises a large-diameter cylinder part, a small-diameter cylinder part, and a bellows part. The large-diameter cylinder part comprises: a fastening groove into which a fastening member is fitted by denting an outer peripheral surface of the large-diameter cylinder part over the entire circumference; an opening end part that is opened on the opposite side of an axial direction with respect to a portion to which the bellows part is connected, and into which an outer case is inserted; at least one annular seal lip that protrudes from an inner peripheral surface of the large-diameter cylinder part at a position where the fastening groove is projected radially inward, and continues over the entire circumference; and a protrusion part that protrudes from the inner peripheral surface on the opening end part side with respect to the seal lip, and is provided over the entire circumference. The height of the protrusion part is set smaller than the height of the seal lip.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
