Title:
BOOTS RELEASING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001017601
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enable a user to easily release boots from a board of a snowboard without the stoppage of gliding and without the breakage of balance from a gliding state by arranging levers sufficient for releasing the boots freely attachably and detachably fixed by fixing means onto the board of the snowboard approximately above the boots.

The boots arranged on the board 1 of the snowboard are freely attachably and detachably fixed to the board 1 by hooking their front fixing pawls 19 to front pins 18 fixed to the board and engaging pins 8 disposed at the heels of the boots 3 to fixing pawls 7. The levers 4 are disposed in the position near the glider's knees of the boots 3, at least above the ankles. The levers 4 are interlocked to releasing devices 3 via wires (or shafts) 6. The fixing pawls 7 of the releasing devices 2 are parted from the pins 8 disposed at the boots 3 against the spring force of springs for energizing the fixing pawls 7 toward the engaging direction with the pins by pulling the levers 4, by which the release of the boots 3 from the board 1 is made possible.
