To obtain a boring tool which can be easily assembled on and removed from a boring rod in a boring head.
The boring tool for a rock comprises a boring rod 11 and a cup-type boring head 21. The boring head 21 and the boring rod 11 are mutually detachable and are mutually connectable so as to be integrally rotatable by a connecting means comprising at least one rotation transmission groove 22, which extends along a tool axial line A and is provided in the boring head 21, and at least one rotation transmission protrusion 12, which is mounted at the end of the boring rod 11 and can be guided to the rotation transmission groove 22. The connection means comprises an elastic fixation means that holds the rotation transmission protrusion 12 within the rotation transmission groove 22.
