Abstract:
To enable the position of a cutting edge provided on a head to be finely adjusted easily and precisely in the radial direction.
A holder 2 for fixing a boring bar 1 to a machine tool comprises a head 2a and an adapter 2b which are constructed separately. These head 2a and adapter 2b are integrally fixed by a recess-protrusion engagement comprising serration slots 14, 21 wherein the end surfaces are in contact with each other. The serration slots 14, 21 are formed to extend along the projection direction of the cutting edge, thereby relatively moving the head 2a relative to the adapter 2b along the serration slots 14, 21.
