The both side display device 10 is equipped with first and second spontaneous light emitting display sections 10A and 10B which are arranged with spontaneous light emitting elements 20 held with light emitting function layers 23 between a pair of the electrodes 21 and 22 in a dot matrix form on a supporting substrate 11. The first and second spontaneous light emitting display sections 10A and 10B are laminated and arranged in such a manner that the light extraction directions of the first and second spontaneous light emitting display sections 10A and 10B are made into the directions opposite to each other. The spontaneous light emitting elements 20 are formed within a single sealing space 12 between a pair of the light extraction substrates and the respective supporting substrates 11 and 12 in the first and second spontaneous light emitting display sections 10A and 10B are constituted by a pair of the light extraction substrates 11A and 11B.
