To attain the miniaturization of a device by contriving so that a medium carrying path may not become higher in height while carrying the medium in a nearly vertical direction in a single both-side printing device, and also, to prolong the life of a photoreceptor drum and to prevent the deterioration of printing quality by preventing the deterioration of the photoreceptor drum for an image forming process unit due to the light intensely leaking from a fixing device and also by preventing the lowering of the surface potential of the photoreceptor drum.
A 1st image forming process unit 250, a 2nd image forming process unit 260, a 1st fixation part 410, a 2nd fixation part 420 and a carrying system 700 are arranged in a 1st housing 1001, and the carrying system 700 is provided with a carrying direction changing part 51, and the carrying direction changing part 51 is brought into contact with one side of the medium 1 so as to change the medium 1 carrying direction, and then, the medium 1 is sent to the 2nd fixation part 420.
