To prevent accumulation of dirt between the container body and the shoulder member and unintended pulling out of a bottle packing, in a liquid container having a bottle packing intervening in the mouth part of the container body and mounted with a shoulder member.
A bottle packing 3 having a nearly reverse-U-shaped cross section and mounted in a mouth part 2a of a container body 2 is configured in such a way that the lower end of its inner peripheral side 3a is protruded with or under the lower end of the inner peripheral wall 6 of a shoulder member 4 to eliminate formation of any gaps allowing dirt adhesion. The thickness of the bottle packing is larger than the size X of the clearance between the upper end part inner peripheral surface of the container body 2 and the outer peripheral surface of the inner peripheral wall 6 of the shoulder member 4. The configuration eliminates the possibility of pulling out of the upper side 3b of the bottle packing even when the protrusion 10 protruding from the lower end of the inner peripheral wall 6 of the shoulder member 4 is pulled.
