Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide bottom body structure of an automobile, in which the crush stroke can be effectively utilized, in one equipped with a side frame and an extension frame at the end of the side frame.
CONSTITUTION: A side frame 1 is equipped with a tip part (upper half) 1A where accommodation space is made inside, and the tip part 1A is reinforced by the plate-shaped side reinforcements 15 joined to both side faces of the tip part (upper haft) 1A. For an auxiliary frame 16, the side face is made triangular, and it is equipped with a bead part (weak part) 16D, and is joined to the bottom of the tip part 1A of the side frame 1 so as to make the lower part of the tip part of the side frame 1. A plate 14 is joined to the longitudinally rectangular opening of the tip made by the auxiliary frame 16 being joined to the side frame 1, and the rear mount flange provided at the rear end of the extension frame 2 is joined to the plate 14.
