To solve problems that elements of a mechanism occupy a large space in the conventional back/knee bottom interlocking mechanism and the conventional operation mechanism for selectively releasing the interlock uses a spring and the like and requires the large number of components.
A bed is provided with pushing-up arms 6a and 6b and interlocking arms 7a and 7b at drive shafts 5a and 5b rotatingly driving a back bottom 2 and a knee bottom 3 respectively, an interlocking link 8 is connected between the interlocking arms, and the knee bottom is rotatingly driven by being operatively connected to the knee joints. The pushing-up arms of the back bottom side and the knee bottom side are disposed to rotatingly driven in the same direction of the respective bottoms, the interlocking arm in the back bottom side is projected upward with respective to the driving shaft, the interlocking arm in the knee bottom side is projected downward with respective to the driving shaft, the knee bottom-side end of the interlocking link has a connection slit 9 in its longitudinal direction to movably engage the interlocking shaft 10 provided at the interlocking arm of the knee bottom side, and the interlocking link operatively constitutes the moving prevention member 11 engaged with the interlocking shaft.
