Title:
BOTTOM SCUFF SHEET FEEDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0616256
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To reliably transport sheets from a bottom of a stack of sheets without marking of the sheets by forming a run of a scuff feeding belt having a plurality of grooves deciding a feeding direction of the sheets in a contact area with a stack of the sheets for supporting about 50% of the weight of a stack of the sheets.

CONSTITUTION: A scuff feed belt 22 is located to support about 50% of the weight of a stack S of sheets in a toner 12 on a run of a belt 22. A wide width scuff feed belt 22 is extended in a cross sectional feeding direction toward a feeding direction A of the sheet over a distance capable of supporting the essential part of the sheet. Further, parts 16a, 18a of side guides 16, 18 have upright louver parts 16b, 18b and are set in a contact state of a small surface area with the stack of the sheets supported on the part of the side guide. Thus, a frictional force operating in a direction opposite to the feeding direction of the sheet from the stack, is alleviated to reduce the possibility of rubbing off toner.
