Title:
BOTTOMLESS SHIP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017197161
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hull structure that reduces travel resistance of a ship, especially friction resistance with water, sea water or various kinds of liquid.SOLUTION: A bottomless ship includes a plurality of hollow floating buoyancy tanks in which parts other than a bottom part are tightly closed. A hull and loaded articles are supported by stable buoyancy force obtained by the plurality of floating buoyancy tanks, and friction resistance with water in the bottom part of the hull is reduced. Specifically, by the floating buoyance tanks divided into front and back, and right and left by a right and left partition, and a front and back partition 6, the hull has restoring force by the inclined floating tank sinking deeply in whichever direction the hull is inclined, and the hull can have stable buoyancy force. Since there is no bottom, friction resistance between a ship bottom and water is not generated. However, since the hull side face is in contact with water at and below a draft line, it receives friction resistance. Therefore, the bottom area of the hull is made large to obtain necessary buoyancy force, and a draft part is made shallow to reduce friction resistance on the hull side face so that overall friction resistance can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
