BOUND BUMPER FIXING STRUCTURE FOR VEHICULAR SUSPENSION

PURPOSE: To prevent generation of degradation such as a crack and abrasion due to use with the lapse of time by fitting a locking projection of a bound bumper into a fixing hole formed on an upper seat.
CONSTITUTION: A recess 19 is formed on a side of an inner diameter at the lower surface of an upper seat 16. A fixing hole 20 is formed at the outer edge of the recess 19. A boss 22 is disposed in a bound bumper 17 so as to abut against the bottom surface of the recess 19. A flange 23 extends at the basic end of the boss 22. A locking projection 24 is formed at the upper surface of the flange 23. In the bound bumper 17, the boss 22 is engaged with the recess 19 of the upper seat 16, while the locking projection 24 of the flange 23 is fitted into the fixing hole 20 at the outer edge of the recess 19. A load which is input into the bound bumper 17 from the cylinder 8 is supported at the bottom surface of the recess 19 of the upper seat 16 via the boss 22. At this moment, although the bound bumper 17 is expanded outward in the radial direction, a large load is prevented from being locally applied to the bound bumper 17 since the bound bumper 17 is fixed by the engagement between the fixing hole 20 and the locking projection 24 at the outer edge of the recess 19.
