Abstract:
To provide a bound rubber measuring method capable of highly precisely measuring an amount of bound rubber.SOLUTION: A method for measuring an amount of bound rubber in vulcanized rubber (A) including a reinforcing filler in a matrix rubber component, comprises: measuring force curves of the vulcanized rubber (A) including the reinforcing filler and vulcanized rubber (B) including a non-reinforcing filler at a same volume fraction to that of the reinforcing filler, respectively with an atomic force microscope; calculating intermediate components respectively having an elastic modulus lower than that of the reinforcing filler and having an elastic modulus higher than that of the matrix rubber component; and calculating a difference of the intermediate components of the vulcanized rubber (A) and the vulcanized rubber (B) as an amount of the bound rubber of the vulcanized rubber (A).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
