To cut a film easily and beautifully by a method wherein a box for housing a film roll for wrapping is provided with the function of necessarily spreading a film so as not to cause any wrinkles to occur.

A lid piece 2 is provided at the portion of an opening of a housing box main body 1 housing a film roll (a), and a folded piece 3 is provided along the top end of the lid piece 2. An incision 5 is provided on a side face 1b of the housing box main body 1, the top end of the film roll (a) is inserted through the incision 5, and the above-mentioned folded piece 3 is inserted through the incision 5 from inside the portion thereof to allow it to abut onto a film (a'). A cutter 4 is provided along the other side edge of the side face 1b, and the film (a') inserted through the incision 5 is pinchingly held by the side face 1b and the folded piece 3 throughout the entire width of the film (a'), thereby preventing wrinkles and creases from occurring.
